It is understood that it manages to reduce electricity consumption by up to 80%. It is for this reason that it has allowed its manufacture to be introduced to the industrial, commercial, residential and sports segments with great efficiency and acceptance.
The use of LED lighting has not yet reached all the activities. This, due to a lack of information or reluctance to apply technologies that have been widely demonstrated from various aspects: economy, performance (useful life), safety, costs, etc. A series of advantages that we will demonstrate in the following lines.
Light-emitting diode (light-emitting diode), is an electronic device that has two electrodes, when low intensity current circulates, it releases energy in the form of photons (light). That is, it is a technology that allows light release, rather than thermal, with an efficient application of the electricity that generates it. This saves manufacturing costs and, therefore, its marketing cost.
Advantages
When compared with incandescent or fluorescent light sources, LED lighting has more advantages since they have a longer useful life, consume less energy, generate a minimum of thermal energy, as well as UV rays, are smaller and therefore economical. Additionally, it has great tolerance to low temperatures and humidity. It has instant ignition and does not degrade by on or off cycles. They do not have gases or heavy metals in their manufacture (such as mercury in the so-called saver bulbs) and, therefore, they are less polluting than the rest. The required amount of watts to produce 450 lumens is 5, compared to 9 or 13 for a CFL (compact fluorescent light or compact fluorescent light, also called energy saver) and 40 watts for a luminescent bulb.

- Poles in urban areas.
- Portable flashlights.
- Informational and advertising panels.
- Headlights and various other vehicle components today.
- Traffic light systems for vehicular and pedestrian traffic control.
- Residential, commercial, industrial and sports settings (stadiums).
- Backlighting of TFT screens of televisions.
